If you’re thinking you must digestive symptoms to have a digestive problem, I want you think again. symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, indigestion… can be indicators of poor digestion, but they don’t always have to be present. In fact, Imbalances in digestive health are often present without any digestive symptoms.
Another thing to keep in mind is that in our society, we have become accustomed to poor digestive function, so we may not even realize that what we’re experiencing day-to-day is not optimal. The digestive system impacts many aspects of how the body functions directly and indirectly, which can affect your skin as a result.
I’m going to go over 5 main factors that connect Gut health AND skin health: so stay with me.

1. Leaky Gut - when the barrier between your digestive tract and your bloodstream is not intact this can cause inflammation and interfere with absorption of nutrients. 2. Food sensitivities - less than optimal digestion can lead to food sensitivities if proteins in foods are not fully digested and have the opportunity to enter the bloodstream and trigger an immune response


3. Nutrient absorption - nutritional status is the foundation of good health. When digestion is not optimal it can interfere with your ability to absorb and utilize that are needed for healthy skin function.


4. Immune system health - the microbiome and nutrient absorption play a vital role in maintaining a strong balanced immune system that is able fight off infections while at the same time not becoming overactive.

5. Dysbiosis - So this any imbalance of the organisms in your digestive tract - it can be overgrowth or undergrowth of normal flora and/OR presence of pathogens. Bad organisms that should not be in the digestive tract

So now, you might be thinking, 'I'm going to start taking probiotics!' Hold that thought. Because, In my next video, I'll explain why this approach can be wasteful and even harmful. But not don't worry, because I'll explain how to find the approach that's right for YOUR body.
