Is your neck pain turning into headaches that just won’t go away?

Neck pain that creeps up into the base of the skull and wraps into your head isn’t random.
It’s often coming from the very upper neck—the small stabilizing muscles whose job is to finely control how your head moves on your spine.
When those muscles get weak, overworked, or compressed, the nerves in that area can become sensitive.
And because so much neural information passes through the neck, even small dysfunction can make headaches trigger easily.

🧠 What’s really happening
The upper cervical spine is packed with nerves. These deep muscles are designed for precision, not brute strength.
When they lose control, your body compensates with tension. Over time, that tension feeds nerve irritation, and headaches become easier to set off.

🔄 Step 1: Gravity Eliminated
Start lying on your back with gentle chin tucks.
This rebuilds your ability to bring your head back over your body without gravity working hard against you.
Add small, controlled rotations to restore fine motor control.

🧩 Step 2: Introduce Gravity
Move to a kneeling position. Chin tuck, shift forward and back, then add rotation.
Now gravity has some influence, but you’ve already built a base.

🔥 Step 3: Gravity Advantage
On hands and knees, chin tuck and bring your head back while maintaining rotation control. Gravity now has the advantage.
You’re stabilizing, resisting, and building true endurance in those deep neck muscles.

💡 KEY REMINDER
Progress slowly. If you ramp up too quickly, you can trigger headaches instead of reducing them. Build capacity—don’t spike symptoms.
