Speaker: Dariush Mozaffarian, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University
The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health will be convened in September 2022, with the ambitious goal of developing a roadmap of actions to improve nutrition, end hunger, and reduce diet-related chronic diseases in the United States by 2030. This talk focused on (1) the efforts undertaken by our independent coalition to support and inform the Conference, convening voices from across the nation and from multiple sectors to discuss policy actions to achieve the Conference goals; (2) the national recommendations and roadmap presented at the White House Conference; and (3) planned critical post-Conference work to continue to translate and disseminate of scientific evidence into public awareness, policy, and innovation. This event was co-sponsored by the Tufts Environmental Studies Program and Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
