I have done this before (for longer than 10 minutes) but I never saw so many oil plugs coming out. Oil plugs or sebaceous filament is a collection of sebum and dead skin cells around a hair follicle. These are commonly mistaken as blackheads. The tiny little black dots sometimes you see on your nose might be oil plugs. These are harmless and natural part of healthy human skin. They help to direct oil flow. Everyone got them 🙋🏻♀️
Do not squeeze them out forcefully because that can lead to scarring. I sometimes see them coming out while I oil cleanse. Also chemical exfoliants can help to reduce them. ✨
