Welcome to this strong over 40 home workout.

My name is Cheryl and I’m your certified Personal Fitness Trainer for this strength training workout program. I’m 49 years strong and my passion is sharing strength workouts to help women over 40, grow strong and build muscle lifting dumbbell weights at home.

Habits are easier to keep when they’re short and frequent, so I’ve designed a series of 20 minute full body strength workouts. For the very best results, complete up to five 20 minute workout videos from this program each week.

Here’s a list of today’s strength training exercises and the weights I use for your reference. Roll out your home workout mat and have your dumbbells ready because we’re doing trisets – three exercises back-to-back.

Warm Up

Triset ONE 15 reps each | back-to-back exercises
1. Goblet squat, 40lbs (my dumbbell weight for reference only)
2. Alternating chest press, 2 x 20lbs
3. Side lateral raise, 2 x 10lbs
Rest then repeat once

Triset TWO 15 reps each | back-to-back exercises
1. Single arm row, 20lbs (my weight)
2. Curl with ISO hold, 2 x 12.5lbs
3. Skull crushers, 2 x 12.5lbs
Rest then repeat once

Cool down stretch
