Immediately after a hair transplant, you should expect some minor swelling and scabbing. After the scabs come off at around 1-2 weeks the grafts will remain in place for anywhere to 3-6 weeks.
Once the grafts shed, you will enter the 'ugly duckling' phase. This phase usually lasts until hair growth begins. Now, every person is different. We've seen some individuals grow as fast as two-months, while others don't grow until six-months. Regardless, you should see your final results by 12-months.
